So Wii freeloader is a GC disc? It's a GameCube-sizeddisc (I guess Datel only had machines set up to manufacture GameCube-sized discs, and it's not like they needed 4GB of space), but you are correct that it acts as a Wii disc whose apploader patches the system menu.

Jul 15, 2020 · I've heard older versions of the freeloader disc are region free. While I'm not familiar with their japanese releases, action replay and sd media launcher were also available in japan. Video format is an issue with PAL games. NTSC hardware uses invalid composite/s-video colors in 50hz mode. It's easiest to fix by setting the game to 60hz somehow.
