Sep 02, 2010 · I did convert this 6 saddle bridge over to 3 saddle. It is from a Greco MIJ Tele that I upgraded for Blues24 You can see it is a bit longer and has the 2 extra screw holes in front a lot like the Squires. Even though it was a string through the back Tele I couldn't use a vintage style bridge so I modded the stock one and it worked out great.

Mar 01, 2021 · My 2015 Tele Affinity has the six saddle, eight screw setup shown. I would like to change it to a three compensated saddle setup. I've never owned an uncompensated 3-saddle Tele but I do have two guitars (Gretsch Duo Jet, Ivison LPJ) with straight bar bridges and their intonation is perfectly acceptable to my pretty sensitive ear. To me the biggest problem with the traditional Tele bridge is the middle saddle for the D and G strings.

Jun 30, 2006 · If you want 3 saddles but think a thick bridge plate may be suitable, here's another option to try. Drill 3 holes for the 3 saddles' intonation screws in your Squier bridge plate. You'll need a set of 3 saddles and longer than stock screws and springs for them. I think some other TDPRIers have done that.
